About Me
****************************************************************************************
Hi! You may noticed my reply rate is on the low side. This is because I tend not to reply to people who:
1) Clearly just joined couchsurfing so they can stay someplace for free, and put little effort into their profile. No anons, please!
2) Have not hosted/have not tried to host/do not have valid reasons for not being able to host or otherwise have not tried to contribute to the community. Take a couch/leave a couch only works if people are actually leaving couches;
3) Wrote me a really generic, uninteresting request and ostensibly did not read my profile at all. Try to make me feel special, I respond well to flattery.
4) Are a single, straight dude (especially those that are guilty of 1-3 above.) Sorry dudes, I'm sure you're great, but my lady and I are trying to make a safe space for women and queer folk who need a place to stay.

I am a curious, adventurous, distracted, activity-seeker/doer with a philosophical and political tendency toward social and environmental justice. I like pretty much every sport and activity, especially the outdoorsy kind but also indoorsy sometimes too.
I just moved to Kelowna, BC as a trailing spouse, and so am looking to meet interesting, kind, engaged, sociable, playful, fun, etc. folks. Oh! I'm also looking to make a band here. Wanna be in my band? The genre is kinda... you know. Whatever, really.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My girlfriend and I are hoping to have a safe space for women and queer folk who are travelling through town and could use a place to stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've mostly hosted folks, but surfed a bit. That was when i was living in Toronto, and I haven't hosted for a few years do to my general shifty/inconsistent whereabouts/living situations.
I'm more settled, these days--but on the other side of the country.
Interests
Most things (i.e. nearly all sporty + outdoorsy things, painting, music, and the rest).
Also, building community in a really big and lonely world.
And the big money question: ideology, and how it manifests itself (and is dug up).
