About Me

I am an easy going person with varied interests. I like learning about different cultures and languages. Fluency in English helps me to travel the world with relative ease. With that said, I am deeply interested to learn more languages with a beginner proficiency in German and Spanish.

I have a slight inertia when interacting with new people. But once the barrier is broken, I become quirky and exciting. I have a twisted sense of humour and really enjoy humour and fun of any kind.

I love to debate and argue on varied topics. Nothing is offensive or out of the scope for me, and I am comfortable dealing with and talking about topics that are taboos in many societies. The best part is that I rarely take offence and hence, we can be in for a long delightful debates on eclectic topics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I undertook a long and arduous 13 day expedition in the himalayas. I joined a group of 20 from various different parts of India. I was the youngest member in the group. This was the first time I was ever going on a serious trek. I prepared for this by hitting the gym for three months. I worked on my legs and endurance to get in shape for the expedition.

There was an acclimatisation trek on day 1. After that, we climbed for 5 days. Every day, we climbed for 8 hours, with rests in between for lunch and snacks. I carried a bag of 10 kilograms on my back, containing all the essential materials. We camped every day in suitable locations, and we used to set up our tents every day. On day 5, I experienced my first blizzard storm. It was scary and exciting as well to see the nature in it's fury. The trek culminated at Kedar Tal at a height of 16160 feet. It's a lake at that altitude. The scenery was worth every bit of the effort that I put in.
