Hey Guys, thanks for checking out my profile. I'm originally from California, but looking to get back to Chicago. I've been visiting family here in Roseville for a few months, and unfortunately I am living with my brother, so I can't host yet. That will change when I get my own place soon. I just graduated from UIC with a bachelor's in English, and I'm waiting to hear back from seven grad schools recently applied to. In the meantime I've stayed busy by doing work for family and friends. I'm handy to an extreme, I guess. I'm a single dude, no pets, traveling alone. I love coffee, beer, hanging out with friends and being in nature. Oh yes, and traveling. :)

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I'm trying couchsurfing as an alternative to boring (and expensive) hotel rooms and to hopefully meet some nice folks. As a single man with no family of my own (besides brothers and sisters) I thought it would be really nice to connect with people when I'm on the road alone.

I read a lot of classic literature; at the moment I'm a little heavier on the Russian authors. I've also been reading a lot on the writing of fiction. I enjoy a very wide variety of music, but make a habit of staying away from current pop/hop-hop/rap etc. My taste in movies is also very broad, but I tend to be satisfied more with artsy, non-CGI type flicks. Generally. Although I thought Rouge One was pretty darn awesome.

2. I am a pretty darn good cook. I can make just about anything with a recipe, and some things without...
3. I am a novice red wine connoisseur, and can bring you a nice bottle if you're into wine.
4. I can clean! Anything. Yes, bathrooms too. I also do laundry.
