Overview
About Me
Hello, my name is Ginny! I am a junior in college and am studying abroad in Paris this semester. I am a double major in Psychology and French, but would like to go into a career in equine therapy, otherwise known as therapeutic horseback riding. At my college, I work in the costume shop at the theatre and play quidditch.
I consider myself a friendly person and try to keep an optimistic outlook on life. I'm a mix between an introvert and an extrovert and like variety in life usually. I think people have a lot to share with each other and if people took a few moments to actually talk and listen and share, that the world would be a better place.
"Be kind, always" is a quote I try to live by.
I have a wide variety of interests including painting, drawing, writing, working with animals, working with children, reading, photography, the paranormal, SciFi, space, and horseback riding.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined couchsurfing as I will be taking a trip up to Copenhagen at the end or March into April and am looking for a place for my boyfriend and I to stay.
I also joined because I want to make connections through couchsurfing. Unlike staying hostels or airbnbs, this program seems like it promotes more connection between the people travelling and the culture and locals there; it's not just another, stay in a bed at night and off you go type of thing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a variety of music, but the genres I have listened to most frequently are country, punk rock, and pop. I do listen to rock as well as "chill" music, and have recently been introduced to electro swing which is phenomenal!
I like musicals and rom-coms, action movies are good as well. Paranormal horror movies can be hit or miss for me depending on how they are done. Psychological thrillers are probably my favorite genre though!
There are so many great books, I don't even know where to start! My top ten in no particular order would include: Ishmael, The Book Thief, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Fairy Rebel, Divergent (though the ending was awful), The Hunger Games (ending was ok-ish), Mindwalker, Alice in the Kingdom of Hearts manga (and subsequent series - also known as Heart no kuni no Alice), The Eyes Like Stars series, and Fahrenheit 451.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last semester I was captain of the unofficial quidditch team at my college.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a wide variety of subjects - English, the little origami I know, games, how to do different tasks
I want to learn how to cook and bake different dishes, I'm working on learning French, I want to learn the intricacies of the people I meet and what makes them who they are.
Let's share stories over coffee or tea or other beverages or food, let's cook together, let's share photos of our families and friends and pets. Let's share adventures and try something new!
