Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as I can about gardening. To live a less stressful life. To expend my comfort zone. To stand up for what I believe in. Basically, to become a responsible adult who enjoys life.

ABOUT ME

I am currently working on a farm where I'm learning skills and discovering a passion. During the off-season, I do research about waste at Concordia. I also take classes about soil biology, crop planning, weed management, etc.

I completed a degree in Anthropology and First Peoples studies at Concordia University in Montreal. Before that degree, I had the chance to travel abroad! This was a year of mind blowing experiences! After working for six months as an Au pair in Berlin and travelling for two months in Europe, I spent the whole summer working on organic farms around Vancouver Island. Throughout these experiences, I was introduced to couchsurfing, hitchhiking and other travelers life savers.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted anyone yet.
While living in Berlin, I attend to some events to meet people with more experiences than I have.
Since I live outside Montreal and at my grandpa's place, I am not an interesting host, yet. However, I can show you around if I'm not too busy with work or school.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Loads of meet-ups. I was hosted three times by incredible guys. Great experiences. Except my first one. There are people who wants take advantage out of you, trust me. Still, I am looking forward to meet other couchsurfers!

Intereses

My favorite topics of discussion: politics, history, cultures (well any topics related to social sciences), alternative lifestyles...

Also, I enjoy discovering live bands. From Punk-Rock to Classical music (the only reason why I enjoy churches), I appreciate quite a wide range of styles. When I'll travel through Europe, I definitely want to listen to traditional music from everywhere I go! Eastern Europe trad music is definitely my kind of thing!
Always looking for outdoor opportunities to dance!

Música, películas y libros

Might be cliché: Harry Potter (I enjoy learning language throughout reading them in different languages).
Popular writers and some locals: Ken Follett, Dan Brown, Bernhard Schlink, George Orwell, George R.R. Martin, Lois Lowry, Michel Folco, Dominique Demers...

Algo increíble que he hecho

Les moucherottes; (Massif du Vercors, France)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Couchsurfing is about sharing, but I think I have a lot more to learn than to teach. And, who am I to discredit any teaching I could get? Consequently, I would enjoy anyone with a small history behind him.
I am always open to share about Canadian-Québec food, history, culture. If anyone is interested in learning French, I can be useful!
