Overview
About Me
Whether if it is in person or through a book, I always love to travel.
I recently move from Mexico City to Oxford, UK and it feels like a very long vacation where everything is new. I want to use this opportunity to get to know new people, places and food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to really know a city is to meet the people that lives there. When you can make some friends that show you the things they love about a places, then you can say that you had an authentic experience.
Couchsurfing gives you the chance to do this. It's wonderful.
Interests
When I like something, I am seriously passionate about it. This has happened to me with Dung Beetles, coffee, Morrissey, regrowing plants from food leftovers, Franz Ferdinand, R programming, cooking, and a lot of other things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: British rock, Progressive, Indie, rock in general, Balkan music and weird stuff.
Books: Boris Vian is my favorite author. Currently I'm reading the complete works of Anton Chejov, this could move Boris away from the first place.
I have the I Ching in the kitchen for consults whilecooking.
I love short stories with complex plots.
My favorite directors are Wong Kar-Wai, Jim Jarmush, Jan Svankmajer and Terry Guiliam. I have a watching-movies problem...
About TV, I watch Game of Thrones, Adventure time, Regular show, Bigbang Theory, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Supernatural. I must say that TV is better since Netflix exists.
I must say that I'm a fiction junkie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hand made gorditas and tortillas. Yes, I am proud of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can knit, make statistic analysis in R, cook, trap insects, make martinis, make maps in a computer...
but can't drive, sing, dance, comb my hair or rule the world.
I enjoy discussing movies, music and cooking techniques.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a mexican meal.
We can have a deep conversation about music, movies, science, etc.
If you are interested, I can talk a lot about insects
