About Me

I'm a curious person, a dreamer, an imperfect happy human being, a nature lover, a believer in the energy that surrounds us...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in couchsurfing because I love to meet new people around the world. I've never travelled outside Argentina besides Brazil and I think that Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to get in touch with new cultures, new places and new experiences. The idea of all those new things that are different from mine's is what makes this life worth living.

Interests

Since I was a child, I've been immersing myself in Japanese culture -because my grandparents were born there- I'm currently learning Japanese and I'm also trying out some recipes. I'm really keen on origami and I've participated in a Convention held here in Argentina where I met other origamist around the globe. That was a super cool experience.
I have this love and appreciation for nature. I love to be outside and to feel the energy around us. I'm so grateful to be born before the internet boom because it makes me appreciate other things too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I cannot really choose one of each category! I'll share some with you, but I'm discovering new ones everyday.
Movies: I love movies and animated movies too! I'm a great fan of Miyazaki's and Studio Ghibli's movies. There are also other Japanese animated movies that are so dear to me like 'Summer Wars', 'Bakemono no ko', '5 cm per second', among others. I'm also in love with Tomm Moore's two movies 'The secret of Kells' and 'Song of the Sea'. He made me love celtic culture and Irish language. Pixar and Disney movies are on my list too!
I cheered for Independent movies. The one that comes to my mind now -because I've seen it like 8 times- is Pride. Finding Neverland is another movie that touched me profoundly. I can still go on and on you see...
Books: I'm a bookwork! I read in Spanish but also -and mostly- in English. Titles thay come to me are 'The curious incident of the dog in the night time' by Mark Haddon, any of the books by Ian McEwan, 'To kill a mockingbird' by Harper Lee, 'The British Museum is falling down' by David Lodge, 'The boy in striped pajamas' by John Boyne, etc.
Music: During my teens years I had a group o f friends who had a heavy metal band so... lot of heavy metal music but that was back in time. I'm actually really open to any kind of music. Argentinian national rock bands are awesome Soda Stereo being one of my favourites. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, AGBW, Charly Garcia, Coldplay, an interested mix hahaha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that by the end of February 2018, I could update this part of my profile.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really interesting in learning something from the culture of each host. I love languages so apart from English and Spanish, I'd love to learn some words in other languages! Irish, Russian, French are the ones popping in my heard right now, but all will be welcomed! Do you want to learn some Spanish? -Spanish from Latin Amerian countries though not from Spain. I can also teach some origami for those who are curious about it! :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience and if you want to learn something from Argentina, I'd be pleased to talk about it.
