About Me

I'm an easily excitable person who laughs - a lot.

I love to try new and do obscure things. I've gone to Beyonce dance classes in NYC, lived in a hut in rural Zambia for half a year with my very own pet chicken named "Ntoyo", found myself on lots of surprise hikes in South Korea (usually a few hours in - don't ask), taught jewelry making to a class of deaf Qatari adults, hunted manicoo (possums) at midnight on a tiny island in the Caribbean, learned to milk goats in Costa Rica, practiced headstands at an Israeli yoga retreat in Cambodia, lived without walls for a month in Vietnam, attended an unforgettable wedding at a mountaintop church in Lebanon, and lost myself in a flower garden in Dubai.

I should mention that I love meeting people around the world. I've lived for years in drastically different countries including Qatar, South Korea, rural Thailand, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and rural Zambia. My years abroad have the most enriching experience because of the people I met. I work in the travel industry now and the most exciting part of that is getting to inspire others to now fulfill on their travel dreams.

Now, I'm based in Brooklyn and am LOVING the excitement of being in New York! I feel like I'm exploring the whole world - at once - just by walking down the street.

As a super extrovert and love to be around people. I work at the computer (remotely), so I love to do my job in the midst of human beings (coworking space, coffee shop, hostel kitchen, whatever). It also means that after work, you can usually find me with my friends or family socializing (or learning something - classes and meetups are awesome opportunities for this!).

I'm excited to meet you - you lovers of travel you!

P.S. - I am very active on Facebook:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to couchsurf when traveling. I would love to meet up with people for coffee in Brooklyn. I have couchsurfed in Barbados and Bequia in the Caribbean...and loved both experiences. I think couchsurfing is an incredible way to meet people who love to meet people (if that makes any sense)!

Interests

I'm continually growing as a human and love figuring out what I can do and how I can contribute more to the world. I love to see what else I can develop and take classes and hire coaches often. Transforming day by day - learning to enjoy the climb more and more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm obsessed with weddings abroad. I love getting to be a part of such amazing celebratory experiences. I've gone to weddings all over including Qatar, Jordan, Cambodia, Thailand, Canada, Lebanon, South Korea, etc, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach budget travel/travel blogging techniques. I've lived overseas for 5 years for under $10,000 a year!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a great listener and I have an extensive knowledge about how to travel cheaper, longer and smarter. I work with Nomadic Matt, and my whole job centers around how to travel on a tight budget. Want tips and tricks? I've got them!
