ABOUT ME
I'm 26 years old and I live in Rosario, Argentina. I'm an English-Spanish translator and interpreter. Translation is my true calling and I feel blessed that I can make a living out of something that I'm passionate about.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had the chance to host anyone yet, as I don't have a place of my own right now. But I have met up with some really cool people for an English-Spanish language exchange in Buenos Aires and it was a very rewarding experience, looking forward to doing it again!
Centres d'intérêt
Whenever I'm not sleeping (and I really don't sleep that much), I'm either reading or listening to music. Books and music are the two paramount, ever-present forces in my life, the true friends of a lifetime. I love playing musical instruments as well, especially the piano. History fascinates me, as do languages; not only learning and speaking them, but the whole concept of languages as shapers of thought and feeling and unique worldviews. Traveling, meeting new people, and seeing the world with wide-open eyes and a big smile on my face. Going for runs, especially on the beach and in parks in the fall and spring. Movies. Photography. Live music (I'm a major concert-goer). Art. Cats. Dancing. The beach. Big cities.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Oh boy, where do I begin?
Let's see.
Music: The Beatles are my all-time favorite band. They have opened up my mind and my ears to all the amazing music out there. I love almost anything from the 60's (from Janis Joplin to Simon and Garfunkel). Classic rock, hippy music, folk rock. Brit rock, new wave and glam. Rock and roll, jazz, blues. Alternative rock. I love classical music and operas with a passion.
Books: I love impossibly thick books that ramble on and on and on about the flitting thoughts of one character on a sunny afternoon. But on the other hand I also love elaborately-plotted novels with a thousand characters that are structural masterpieces. Some favorite authors, books, and genres are Virginia Woolf, D. H. Lawrence, turn-of-the-century English and American literature, Edith Wharton, Hardy, Eliot, Austen, the Romantic Poets, John Donne, Emily Dickinson, Cortázar, Borges, Puig, Pizarnik, Marechal, Kerouac's "On the road", Dostoievski, biographies.
Movies: Woody Allen. Old Hollywood classics. Amélie.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
One of the most amazing things I have had the infinite pleasure to witness was how the thick white clouds enveloping the city of Machu Picchu slowly began to dissolve, delicately unveiling the soft white city and the bright green terraces below, while I sat high up on the Intipunku. It was almost as if the city had willed the clouds away so that it could emerge in all its ineffable beauty.
New York city during the blue hour is another sight worth seeing. It feels as if the whole city becomes bathed in a soft lilac light, its sharp edges blurred and fuzzy, and it's not a hectic, scary place anymore, but a sea of delicate lights and music.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I'll be glad to teach some Spanish and English to anybody who is interested. I can read music and would love to teach others as well. I can dance a little salsa and would love to teach anyone!
I'm a living mass of curiosity by nature and I'm happy to learn anything that the people I come into contact with and the places I visit have to offer.
