Overview
About Me
I'm a academic researcher and a traveler. I've visited over a dozen countries and hope to see more. Respectful, easygoing, friendly and laid-back, very easy to get along with! I also do behavioral analysis, mostly on underprivileged people and employees of non-profits. I'm a film buff, as you might be able to tell from my movie list. I'm very open minded, and love trying out new things, new foods, new experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Several of my friends are on couchsurfing and have highly recommended it to me as perfect for someone like me; as I'm social, and easy going. I love meeting new people, learning about their city from their perspective, finding common interests, or making new ones!
Interests
I like making new friends, understanding different points of view, different religions, cultures, interests, etc. I also love film, traveling (of course), cooking, teaching and learning. Interested in humanitarianism, environment, social justice, and human rights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I volcano boarded down an active volcano in Nicaragua. I've also skydived, bungee-jumped (and developed a fear of heights in the process), backpacked through Europe, and trekked in the Himalayas for a month through India, Nepal and Tibet. I crossed a pass at 19,000 feet into Tibet. I've also done projects on microfinance in Central America community health in West Africa, slum youth learning technology without teaching or training in various developing / underdeveloped countries
Teach, Learn, Share
I actually do teach. If you need to know something about non-profits, uplifting the poor, micro-finance, global hunger, self-empowerment, community health, etc. I might be able to help. I can also give you movie recommendations if your taste is anything like mine. I can also help with technology
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm good at cooking. In case you like spicy or not-so-spicy Indian food, I can make some :-)
