ABOUT ME

I have been a teacher or business person most of my life. Taught physics and mathematics. During a break from teaching, I designed and patented an exercise machine. Founded a company to manufacture and market the device. Eventually sold the company and went back into teaching.

I am married with four wonderful children -- 1) a principal timpanist with the New York Metropolitan Opera, 2) a Life Coach/Yale Divinity School graduate/Jazz drummer in New Haven, 3) a Biology teacher/Improv performer in the Minneapolis, Mn area and 4) a daughter at Whitman College in Walla Walla.

I have traveled extensively in the US. Worked as a Vista Volunteer in Phoenix. Prior to teaching I worked as a tree trimmer, rocket scientist, cab driver, movie usher, and Bouncing Bobo operator.

Am a pilot and skydiver. Climbed Devil's Tower. Mohamed Ali called me to order one of my exercise machines. Was at Cape Kennedy for the launching of Apollo 11.
