Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Vitaly.
I was born in Russia, Omsk. I lived there my whole childhood till age of 12 after it part of my family (including myself) moved to Hungary, Budapest. I could not discribe the cultural shock I experienced at that time, new school, new culture, new people around (not speaking about a really hard Hungarian language :) ).
Since then I am living, studying in Budapest and travelling alot, with parents, friends and by myself. I am lucky to say, that I have visited most of European countries, but I still got a lot on my Bucket List :)
I know myself as social, cheerful and open-minded. I like meeting new people and learning new stuff (for example not long ago I randomly bought an Ukulele just because I liked the way it sound in one song, I am currently on my way to figure out how to play it, though I have no experience with any instrument before).
Give me a message if you are in Budapest and I would gladly grab a beer or two with you :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am sure that there is no better way to get to know a place than through its people. I love to visit a new place and then experience it like someone who is living there for long time.
I have just joined the couch surfing community and already like it alot, most of people are really responsive, helpful and kind. I like to meet them!
Interests
As I know myself I could easily be interested in anything (besides some weird stuff).
Currently I am studying Economics and languages in Budapest.
I have interest in photography, hiking, biking and musical instruments.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I mainly listen Indie music and classic rock (like Pink Floyd, Queen, AC/DC, Doors), but I can "eat" any music :) (once I've listened a Nepal-i rock band which was pretty cool :D )
Movies: I do not have a specific geanre, but I've seen most of "must see" movies you could imagine (unless you are that weird friend with weird movie taste).
+I like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead series alot.
Books: Sadly, I do not have that much time to read, the last one I've read was Motivation 3.0; Catch 22; Flowers for Algernon...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like biking alot but once I've decided to get it on a higher level, literally.
Two years ago me and my family were visiting India and Nepal for 2 month, I was renting a really nice mountain bike while we were in nothern part of India- Ladakh. Nearby city of Leh, there is the highest motorable pass in whole word (Khardung La). I've decided to ask someone who can take me and my bike to the top of the pass (5 600 m).
From the top there was a really rocky serpentine road going back to the city. I took that path, and man... that was an amazing idea!
I've never traveled a bike so fast (around 60 km/h) downhill on a rocky road with huge rocks and mountain rivers crossing my way, locals repairing the road and waving me and shouting when I passed them by and as in India people drive on the other side as in Hungary or Russia, I was almost hit by a really nice colorful Indian truck :D
It thrilling and exciting at the same time :)
