About Me

Art student; Book worm; Vegetarian; Always willing to try new things.
Originally from Brasil, but wandering for almost two years. Recently based and studying Architecture in Vienna. Dreaming about a sabbatical year in India learning to play the Sitar.
Easy going and open minded, hardly get upset. Sometimes very talkative and sometimes very silent but always a good listener. There's absolutely nothing I don't want to know.
As my life's philosophy, I would say: to admire the beauty of the randomness of the Universe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because a trip is not only for the sights, it's for experiencing new cultures, new people, new ways of seeing things.

HOSTING:
I would be pleasured to host, specially backpackers and globetrotters, and show this amazing city. I live in the 3rd district of Vienna (inside the Ring) very central and lots of public transportation possibilities around.

Interests

Mostly visual arts, especially painting and drawing ( Huge fan of Caravaggio, Rubens, Delacroix, Picasso, Magritte, Hopper, Schiele and Modigliani);
Music from all over the world;
Religion and cultures different than mine;
Literature ( especially South American and European Modern);
Architecture;
Semicolons.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Besides world music, as mentioned before, I am a great fan of Jazz ( Big band, Swing, Cool, Latin, some Bebop, Everything Ella Fitzgerald sings and recently some Indo Jazz) 60's hippie songs and some contemporary pop stuff;

Books: I read pretty much everything but gotta love Woolf, Borges, Cortázar, Márquez and Ginsberg.

Movies: I would go with Von Trier, Cronenberg, Jodorowsky, Godard and Tarkovsky when I am not sleepy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I entered a dance competition against a Drag Queen, and I won. :)
