About Me

CURRENTLY

Hey! I'm Vitor, an architecture student (10th semester) living in Brazil. For the next month I will be traveling to NY an VT with a small suitcase, hoping to fill it with memories and new experiences.

ABOUT ME

Living in a small town in southern Brazil, getting in touch with new cultures and lifestyles was the easiest way to travel to different places without money and leaving the place.
Having met different people contributed a lot to broaden my horizons even without having left the country.
As a big friend once said, I am a "social magnet" with an uplifting personality and a gentle soul.
For now I'm still here walking my way alone, but it would be amazing to share it with different people in new places.

p.s.: Even though it doesn't show in the pictures, I'm very funny and an easy to make laugh person. I blame my eyebrows for that blasé face.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people is my passion. Traveling to a new country is the perfect opportunity to do this. Imagining what each one carries in your luggage makes me extremely excited.
Also, I'm going to see an American friend again, after 3 years. We met some time ago here in Brazil, as we worked together in a social project.

Music, Movies, and Books

I float through different musical genres. From popular brazilian music to K-POP, classical to lo-fi, pop to rap/R&B.
80's vibes are my favorites, nowadays. Music is a great way to connect, and it's never enough, so feel free to show me your favorite songs.

Frank Ocean, Jaloo, Carla Bruni, Stromae, Solange, SZA, Willow Smith, Childish Gambino, Jorja Smith, Liniker, Gorillaz, Madonna, Prince, Paula Abdul, Tears for Fears, Whitney Houston, Scissor Sisters, etc.

Love anything Sofia Coppola does, Lost in Translation is one of my favorite movies. I live for Blade Runner. Interstellar is my favorite movie. Also love the way Spike Jonze represented the future in Her, with all those red and orange shades and that 60's vibe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working in a social project that provided the contact between foreign teachers and children from a needy community, here in my city. It was called "Menino Deus speaks English", and I acted giving help to the teachers, teaching portuguese/brazilian culture to them while the children were learning English.
It was an amazing experience that changed my life, providing me somehow the life and dreams I have today.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, learn ans share: that's what Couchsurfing is all about. Good company for walks, to drink and eat, to party. Let's share some moments!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As an architecture student, we can have long conversations about a lot of things. Also, I can teach you some Portuguese, if you want to. I have some Brazilian dessert recipes in my mind, we could try those too.
