About Me

I`m Brazilian, a person who loves sports and a good chat. When talking about leisure, I don't really need to think too much to decide what do, I just go ahead, always trying to be as much progressive and open-minded as possible. That's why I really often get on well with a sort of different tribes or groups of people. After my interchange in England I became really excited to know more about some different cultures and practice more my language skills.

If you come to Floripa I'll be glad to show you around and take you to the best spots in the city. I love being among natural landscapes and it'd be a pleasure to have a chat with you while doing some trekking or sharing a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I`m on Couchsurfing to expand my network around the world and find places and companies to be with during my trips.
I also like to show my hometown for other people and being in touch with tourists.

Interests

I enjoy drinking beer and tasting traditional food from the places I visit. I quite often do some trekking/hiking and cycling trips and I am fascinate about football.

My major is related to Industrial/Production Engineering, but I really enjoy talking about a range of different topics, such as: economy, psychology and philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love samba and Brazilian popular music. I usually listen rap and reggae as well, but I consider myself an eclectic person. These are some of the artists/bands I usually listen to: Joao Nogueira, Chico Buarque, Jorge Ben Jor, SOJA, Sublime, Bob Marley, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Oasis, Nas, Keith Murray, MC Marechal and Dazaranha (traditional band from my hometown).

As a Brazilian I admire Fernando Meirelles since he produced City of God. However, I`ve been watching more foreign movies recently and I watched fantastic plots in cinemas from Denmark, Canada, Argentina and Germany for example (The Hunt, Incendies, The Secret in their Eyes, The Live of Others and so on). The films directed by Christopher Nolan, Scorsese, Hitchcock, Denis Villeneuve and Charlie Kaufman (plots) are on my top list. Kubrick, Tarantino and David Lynch are also some of the directors I like.

About books, I usually read some books related to business or books which provide some reflection about the world and people (The Empty Raincoat, 1984, Brave New World, Blink).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013 I went to Machu Picchu through Salkantay Mountain trek. It was awesome, a nice experience. I also met some Quechua natives in Titicaca Lake and I spent one night with them.
