This application is only for those who match the following criteria,
- Those who has a working holiday visa (We don't accept those who has a tourist visa.)
- Those who can speak one or more of the following languages: English, Korean, Italian; French, German or those with Japanese conversation ability.
- Those who can speak basic Japanese or to a higher level.
- Those who are committed to staying in the lodge for at least 3 month.
Whether it be cleaning, organizing events or odd jobs around the hostel.
- Those who are willing to communicate with Japanese guests and make cultural and lingual exchanges.
****You can stay / live in the lodge, for free, without paying a cent. All rent and utilities are covered in exchange for a few hours of cleaning work.
We provide you with a dormitory bed. You will have full use of all of the common facilities in the hostel: Showers, toilets, laundry and a full kitchen and T.V room. We also have free WiFi Internet access in all of our lodge & Guest House Buildings.
The rate of a dormitory bed ￥3500 for one night. They way we work out the exchange is as follows: 1 hours work =￥850　X 4 hours = ￥3400. (the amount of hours you are expected to work each day).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted people, i love meeting people-meeting new people-answering emails, I surfed twice etc etc
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Great so far, even though I only hosted people. All the people I met via Couchsurfing were nice so far!
IMPORTANT: it's wintertime and it seems that everybody is coming to osaka, I get really many couch requests every day, just wanted to say I am sorry for not being able to reply to all of them.
Sorry, coz to be honest I was just a bit disappointed about the difficulty to get a couch, I surfed only twice, and I couldnt imagine it was so difficult to be hosted.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Once I saw a giant japanese cockroach in my bed, he want to sleep in my bed before me . he is clever like japanese. so I give him my bed and I went to another hostel.
am good italian I care cockroach they are petty and so disgusting too
- was traffic police and helped the rangers 2008 in the worst duststorm at burning man.(still have some playadust in my ears)

- went to the Donkey show in Tijuana, Mexico and then the mexican police caught me

-went to hospital in tokyo and was roomate with a copkiller there

-bedsurfed accidently the bed where an old woman died a few days before

-kidnapped a chinese worker in car wash in osaka by accident

- smuggled depeche mode and modern talking posters from west germany to east germany in the 80s

and I can teach how to become a shaolin jedi knight without sweating while the whole process

Also I can teach you who to survive the nightlife and alternative tourist attractions in dotonbori, which is really exhausting because there is much to do....
I like to show bunkers and abandomed buildings, art galleries in and around. if there is time..
Of course I also like to teach people japanese, history of japan and japanese culture. And I like to give vintage clothes shopping tours (although osaka is not such a good place as London for this)
I especially like to introduce people to music and movies of which they have probably never heard before (like turkish, indonesian or mexican 70s trashmovies)
