Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to study and travel..and hug as many animals as possible
ABOUT ME
Hey there, I am 31 and am a nurse and midwife in Queensland, Australia. I love traveling, meeting people from all walks, the outdoors, reading, animals and pretty much anything to do with water. I hope to spend the rest of my life traveling every inch of the earth
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in simply treating people the way you would like to be treated....being honest and taking the time to travel to different countries so that I can remember to appreciate what I have at home as well as learning about the beauty of the new and unfamiliar. And a sense of humour is often as essential as air to me :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I believe in duality, everything that goes around, comes around! I live and work on Thursday Island as a midwife so often don’t have the opportunity to host but I’ve had friends I’ve met travelling stay with me from Holland and the States :) I am part of a big family and so I am not fussy in the slightest about anything and have the fortunate ability to sleep in even the most uncomfortable places (train floors, sitting upright in taxis, buses/boats that are crammed to capacity with people/animals giving birth/luggage)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have minimal couch surfing experience but have couch surfed in Australia and India and it was great!
Interests
Anything with a heartbeat, the beach, exploring, eating (all the time!), hiking, reading, music (I think there is a time and place for every genre)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love David Attenborough documentaries, quentin tarantino and robert rodrigez movies. For music, I am pretty much a sucker for anything acoustic e.g. angus and julia stone. As for books, I have a soft spot for biographies and fantasy but try to branch out to other genres occasionally :o
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting invited into the homes of people in Indonesia who regardless of a complete language barrier...still manage to communicate their never ending generosity...amazing. I also managed to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro without having a mental breakdown so that was pretty cool
Teach, Learn, Share
I think what I find exciting about couch surfing is that I never know who I am going to meet or what they might teach me! I hope I can give back just as much as I get
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Australia, Belize, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, China, Cuba, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Mexico, Mongolia, New Zealand, Norfolk Island, Palestine, Peru, Singapore, Sweden, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam
