ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Marlen and I am currently living in Hamburg for indefinite time. My hometown is a small city near the polish border named Görlitz. I was spending the last 3 years in Stuttgart for becoming a nurse... what I am now. :) I have to gather one year practical experience for working in other countries.. Next Year (don't know when exactly yet) I will start traveling around the world.. open my eyes for other things, learn some new stuff(particularly languages) and meet people from everywhere. :-)

I want to experience all life has to offer!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life for beeing content. And I want my friends and family to be content, too. You can't say, that your life has to be "auspicious" alltime. Because this is a difficult ambition. I want to fill my life with new experience and lovely moments. This makes me content.. and sometime very happy. Push bad thoughts away, make yourself a present everyday.. and the warm shafts of sunlight will reach you for sure. :)

Until now my best friend managed our couchsurfingtrips. But I am a big girl now and want to be independent.:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We were in Vienna for 3 nights and enjoyned this experience. Our Couchhoster was awesome. We cooked for him and he showed us some nice places in Vienna. He was our first!;) After this we slept on some couches in Germany. It was always a pleasure.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is everything. I love to find new musicians and bands.. go to concerts and festivals. My Mp3Player gives me what I need everytime.. :)
I could swim in music all day.

Mostly, I read while listen to music:) A book is always in my bag.. I read when I have to wait for the bus or the subway...I read in my bed... I read in the fresh, green gras.. I read in the airplane... stop. I just love to read. Especially classics. I am a huge fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, E. A. Poe, Tolstoi, Dostojewski, Kafka, Brecht and stuff like that. Bukowski is a great classic for me too:) And... yes yes yes.. I am still a big fan of fairytales (from everywhere).. I have a korean and a japanese fairytale book from my mother. One day my offsprings will read them.. :)

So.. the movies. It is wellness and a boon for me going to the cinema. I have a huge DVD Collection aswell. It's nice to be entertained. "Do you wanna go to the cinema?" "yeees.. yes.. YES!"

And last but not least.. the theatre. We have a lot of theatres in hamburg and it is my passion to visit them as much as I can:) For me, this is real art. To see normal people become the opposite of themselfes. To see the protagonists of my books breathing and jumping and speaking in sound. This is pure well-being for me!:)

Grab my best friend.. grab a tent and some clothes for changing.. pass the french border and hitchhike ..
To tell the truth.. I've seen a lot of amazing things.. Often, you will not believe, in my job.
