About Me

I studied philosophy, I'm a super-amateur photographer and passionate traveler. My work is to read and correct books before they are published. I love learning new languages and I guess I could be a good teacher as well. I'm really into literature and music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel is one of my biggest passions. Unfortunately is not that easy for young people like me because money is always a barrier. But I think we all have to break down those barriers and make the world a friendlier place, where everyone is free to move around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy music, from classical to alternative rock, post-rock, post-punk. I love electronic, especially techno, and I'm always ready to enjoy a good gig. Of course, I love salsa and reggaeton as well and even though I'm not as good as I wish, dancing gives me life.

It's difficult to choose a favorite film, but here a few that I really like: American Beauty, the Star Wars Saga, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Whiplash, Birdman, Pulp Fiction, Mr. Nobody, Memento, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, etc.

It's the same thing with books. I really love reading and I simply cannot decide just one. I like Milan Kundera, Murakami, H. Hesse, F. Kafka, G. Orwell, A. Huxley, U. Eco, Wilde, just to name a few. I am so into Sherlock Holmes, I've read all the books and stories.

Philosophers who changed my life: Aristotle, Hannah Arendt, and Edmund Husserl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to the Philippines (which is completely far away from home) on my own when I was 18. Even if I came back a couple of months later, was a life-changing experience. Then, when I was 20, I moved to Germany to study. Since then I've been traveling solo a lot both in Colombia and overseas. I really enjoy that and I can't imagine a better travel partner than myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am taking the first steps in teaching Spanish. It's not only about the language itself, it's about everything that comes with it. I think languages are not only a way of communicate between us, they represent also how we think, where we came from, in summary, who are we. I am learning German and I don't want to stop learning languages, people and cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you my beloved city, Bogotá, my favorite spots, show you the places you'll never seen in the maps, take you to a techno club or share some Colombian coffee and good foods.
