Overview
About Me
I'm a very cheerful person, that tries to see the best in every situation.
After my graduation in Interior design in Florence, I decided to spend one year working as an au pair in New York City to do something different, test myself in a new experience and environment, and travel to some of the places I've always dreamed about!
Covid made my stay in the US a bit longer than planned, and since then I have been back in Italy, being a tourist in my home place, but now it's time to explore again!
I liked NYC so much, that I am now trying to get a visa to move there, fingers crossed!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think this is a great way to have more of a "real experience" of the places you're visiting, getting to know people that actually live there and know the culture, and the fact that it's not done for money, but just to have a sincere cultural exchange or simply to meet and help out someone new along their way makes everything absolutely wonderful!
I plan to become a host as soon as I get the chance!
Interests
"To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life."
I love to explore places through their food! When I travel, I usually make a list of the typical dishes of my destination. I don't care about fancy venues. Some of the best things I ever ate came from easy and cheap places on the street.
Passionate about art and architecture. Architecture and design are the kinds of arts that surrounds us, literally. We live in them and with them. Isn't this amazing?
Love talking about movies and TV series (like 99% of the people probably).
I prefer a good pub, even better with live music, instead of a glam disco club (but I LOVE to dance).

Music, Movies, and Books
Movie / TV series
I get (too) obsessed with (good) tv shows...so I try to space them in time, just so that I don't spend my life on the couch binge-watching.
Music
I like classic rock, but I admit that I often get stuck with the same stuff and should give more space to new artists. My fault.
Books
I read different types of books, but I really love mystery novels! I read all the Sherlock Holmes books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Door-off helicopter flight above NYC.
Angel landing trail at Zion National Park.
Booked a flight to Mexico for the morning after for (my first) unexpected solo travel.
No pants subway ride, NYC.
Scuba diving over ancient Roman ruins
Teach, Learn, Share
I love comparisons with other cultures! I could teach you some Italian, and maybe some Italian recipes. I am ready for any questions you might have regarding Italian culture!
I'm ready to learn anything you'd like to share with me, from languages to recipes, from history to jokes and tradition!
