ABOUT ME

I live in a TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK. CAUTION: NO BANK OR ATM IN THE VILLAGE. Yes, I am an adventurous person.
I read a lot and take long walks by the Mar Caribe only 225 feet from my house. I am living a real dream, in real nature! Music and reading good books is a part of my new life. Yes, I have my residency in Costa Rica NOW! Making new friends in my new country is fun and exciting. And meeting people from others counties keeps life real.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Here in this National Park, all the local people work at the resorts and they want to speak or improve their English. So I help all who ask me, and I do not charge them. Life is more fun for me to give of myself and Share. Sharing and Caring in this world and this little earth will be a better place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What fun I have had meeting travelers. So far all my experiences have been wonderful, and learning from others . . . including great Recipes from other countries. At last for me cooking is fun, and enjoying eating with others is great.

Interests

Making creative items I can use in my home from the drift wood on the beach. Helping other people if they need help and ask me. Reading. Sewing. Painting. Learning to speak Spanish is a real challenge and learning about my new neighbors and new country. I Love Costa Rica!

Music, Movies, and Books

Do not like Hip Hop or hard rock! Other than that I enjoy good music.
BOOKS: Prefer autobiographies, and non fiction because I can learn more about real facts and personalities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked on Blue Ice Glaciers in Alaska, Deep sea fished in Baja, California at Cabo San Lucas and enjoyed the Mayan sites on the Caribbean side of Mexico. Toured the Grand Canyon of USA and visited 4 Islands of Hawaii.
In the summer of 1982 my daughter and I with only 1 backpack each, toured Europe for 3 months, this trip was the best so far in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Today I learned French cooking with Nicole, and had a wonderful meal . . . Tomorrow I will learn something new. A day in my life that I do not learn or share is a day wasted.
