ABOUT ME

All I want to do is watch good movies, read good books, see good places, and spend time with good people. I'm a no-fuss girl with small ambitions.

I always pictured myself living a bohemian life abroad, escaping the sameness of Texas, but that changed when I had my son while I was in college. He's the most kick-ass person on the planet and I've learned to really love and appreciate Texas in the meantime, so I can't complain. The time to explore the world for most people is after school, but I wasn't able to do that. So I finished school, got a great job, and now I'm saving my cash to catch up with the rest of my friends. Working backwards is working for me.

Interests

I spend most of my time (1) With my son, the funniest person I know, and the rest of my ridiculous family (2) Working at a pretty tight-knit ad agency with some amazing, creative people, (3) Basking in the hilarity of my friends, whether it be over a chaste game of Clue or a whiskey at 3 in the morning (4)Concert hopping. I am a music enthusiast,(5) Movies. Lots of movies,(6) Reading reading and reading .... and reading, (7) Writing. Mostly poetry, some scripts. I'm involved with a writer's community here in Dallas that's been a great refuge from the hustle and bustle of 9-5 life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Fish Tank, There Will Be Blood, Before Sunset, Atonement, Hud, Marlon Brando, good ole DDL, Fassbender, Mickey Rourke, Paul Thomas Anderson, Hitchcock and countless others. The list is exhausting.

Music: Pixies, Interpol, Tom Waits, BRMC, The Swell Season, and Philip Glass. Trust me, there are more. Plenty more. I just can't live without these guys.

Books: The Fountainhead, Ada or Ardor, Money, Pride & Prejudice and every letter that has come from any of the following fingers - TS Eliot, Anne Sexton, Hemingway, Nabakov, Amis, and Austen
