About Me

I'm a 1.6m tall selfironic girl with a dark sense of humour. I like exploring and living and thinking outside the black box that is our society. Normal is boring anyway, right?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found this website, and I fell instantly in love with this idea of travelling! sadly I don't have the means to host someone due to my current living situation.

My usual problem with travelling is, apart from the money-issue, that I do not see anything good or fantastic in travelling to a country, stay in a fancy hotel, see the beach everyday but not the country and its people and then return back home with a ton of generic souvenirs..

To see the world I would like to live half a year in every country possible, to fully dive into culture and the native people's life and basically become one of them. Of course that is not realistic but I am quite sure Couchsurfing is the one thing coming closest to it. And that is why I decided to just give it a go and see where it brings me. Literally as well as figurativley. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow this is always so hard to answer. For a start, I like classics. One of my favourite books for example is Bram Stokers' Dracula. Cause it is a) a masterpiece of writing and b) there is so much about it that I like, such as Vampires (I am a massive vampire fan and Vlad Drakul is basically the godfather of vampires)
Also I went to Edinburgh lately and I found a Bookshop where I found some really old classics from Jane Austen. These are the things I freak out about, 100 year old books. ^^
In terms of music.. Well on my phones' playlist you'll find some random mix of interprets like Elvis Presley, MJ, Placebo, Muse etc, as well as some Nightwish, couppled with some strange things nobody knows, with a little reagge, funk and finished with some average pop. - I guess

When it comes to films I have to say I am a filmlover, and basically there are so many good films that I simply am not capable of choosing an alltime favourite. We can just watch any film and then discuss about it for a descent amount of time, until we eather love or hate each other. haha :D
