CURRENT MISSION

I am a graduate student at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco seeking a Masters in Fine Art, Art Education. I have been working with people with Alzheimer's in Berkeley, CA for the past 13 years. I also am co-partner of a bicycle shop in Alameda, Westside Joe's Bikes www.westsidejoesbikes.com & I have a jewelry business, JFein Designs & Vivee Style, www.jfeindesigns.com.

ABOUT ME

I am a gypsy and I love to travel the world!! I live life to the fullest!!
I lived in Piedmont, California for 15 years,and now back living in Alameda since 2012. Born & raised in Alameda, went to UC Berkeley, then attended UCSF Dental School for my dental hygiene degree. I switch career gears and I am currently a graduate student at The Academy of Art University in San Francsico seeking a Masters in Fine Art, Art Education. I am an art therapist for people with Alzheimer's! I am also a mixed media artist: journal making, jewelry making, dolls, collage, stamping, glass beads, ceramics, painting, printmaking, etc. I love to create a myriad of artworks!! I have 2 kids, 24yo daughter, who was a national elite gymnast, she has graduated from UCLA and competed for their #1 NCAA Division 1 Women's Gymnastics Team and a 22yo son who is an international tennis player. sponsored by USTA, UCLA, Adidas, Nike & Wilson. He was #14 in the world for Boys' 18's! He was ranked #1 on the UCLA Men's tennis team and won the 2016 NCAA's singles and doubles for UCLA! We have traveled to 42 states since they were in elementary school. If you ever want to visit the San Francisco Bay Area, come & stay with me!! I lived in a 1929 house and our front door is made out of 500 pounds of wrought iron, the designer who designed it, was the same artist that designed the Titanic's front door!! cool huh? now currently living back in Alameda in a 1940's beach house in South Shore where bicycling is a must! Please come to visit!

I am a couch surfer!! I love to meet new people and experience all the travels and journeys that it has to offer!!

Interests

I have enjoyed meeting so many people on couchsurfing! It is a great experience and I fully believe in it!!
I am a mixed media artist: painting, gouache, acrylics, charcoal, print making, journal making, collage, jewelry making, dolls, fabric, knitting, glass beads, glass slumping, calligraphy, image transfers, journaling, doodling, soldering, sewing, digital collage, photographer, zines, fat/chunky books and lots more!! I love a plethora of mediums and i always think the grass is greener!

I have visited 42 states in the USA for my kids tennis & gymnastics career!! I also travel to many Art Retreats all over the nation! I have made so many friends that I could stay with someone in every US state!
