Couchsurfing is the best possibility to meet Locals and learn something about the people and the culture :) it is much better and funnier than staying alone at a Hostel...:)
And hosting people is a way to bring the adventure into your home when you are not traveling!

When I visited my friend in America we have been at the grand canion. There we went by helicopter into the canion and then by boat along the Colorado River

Swimming with elephants!

Diving with sharks, mantas, sunfish ....!

Hitchhiking around Australia and New Zealand!
