ABOUT ME

**2019 me**
After 18 months of tirelessly roaming the globe, I have settled down in Dublin, Ireland for a while in order to work, save up and do it all over again! This is the first time Rebecca (my wife) and I have a space of our own that we can open up and share it with other travelers! We are very excited to just have a slower life with a bit more of a routine for a while and to have travelers come to us for once. I haven't had a chance to practice much my Spanish and French lately, so I'd love to host someone who will speak with me in either language.

**2017 me**
I'm from Brazil, but I left everything behind back in 2010 to follow my dream of living in the U.S. Getting out of my comfort zone not only made me more confident, but it taught me to just go with the flow and make the most out of every opportunity and interaction that come my way. The only "bad" thing now is that I'm too excited about the world and I just want to connect with people from all different cultures and travel everywhere. In July 2017 I'm going to start a year long trip and I will be visiting at least 15 countries all over the globe! I can't wait to see what kind of impact that will have in my life.

**2012 me**
I am different from most people my age. I would much rather spend the day outdoor than going to night clubs. I am easy to get along, I don't rely on people and I love to spend time by myself just as much as with my friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted one friend back in Brazil, but never in the U.S because I live at my university. I have couchsurfed three times and met other members while traveling. That's my favorite part of traveling because being active in the new environment is so exciting! I always try and make people feel the same way about my country when they are the surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Hawaii in December 2012 and did couchsurfing for 13 days in two different houses. It was my first CS experience and I loved it! The hosts made my trip 5 times better.
I've also couchsurfed in Chicago three times at Jorge's house, who has become a good friend of mine.

Interests

Going on adventures, adrenaline, meeting people from different cultures, learning from others, reading, playing sports, exercising, traveling and speaking different languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone in some amazing trips in Manaus, Brazil. I have been in the jungle. I have hiked to places that that the most breathtaking views around Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Vietnam. I went skydiving and surfed at night in Hawaii, and went bungee jumping in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I witnessed the crazy British weather that changed from a sunny afternoon to a hail storm in a matter of 40 minutes!
