About Me

Greeting Couchsurfers! I've been couchsurfing quite a bit - primarily with friends and family - so, this idea of couchsurfing with people met electronically means a completely new adventure. With this in mind, I'm going to give this a shot.

My family comes from Mexican and Japanese roots. I'm younger than my profile indicates, though I am not sure how to modify that - I've recently graduated from Sac State with a degree in business administration, though my interests go far and wide.

As a guest, I place a great importance upon being a clean, considerate guest, and I hope to leave your home at least as clean, if not cleaner than you have made it for other couchsurfers. I am also a gay man, and I will always respect your views, and I am open I can answer any questions you may have in that vein. I hope I may ask for the same consideration in return.

That granted, I hope we'll have a good time meeting, and I look forward to sharing space with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After having enjoyed Bla Bla Car in Europe, Couchsurfing seemed like a wonderful alternative to hotels. While abroad, the open hostel environment led to wonderful conversations and friendships, as did the ESN, which, in Spain, actively opened doors to new experiences and connections among the students from all over the EU and elsewhere. I hope that couchsurfing has a similarly open and thoughtful group of individuals who would be willing to interact and share.

Interests

I'm watching a piece on YouTube, a look into the library of Alaska, a punk rock singer from Fangoria, a Spanish musical group. Watching her go through the library with such love, and enthusiasm - I relate to this sheer enjoyment of life, and its many facets and opportunities. With work, family, friends - so many relationships, we find life, and find ourselves. I see this in philosophy, music, language, and literature. And, I also have a love of the sciences - with a particular inclination to molecular biology/biochemistry.

I love cinema, theater, hiking, camping, gardening, organizing, a good conversation over tea/coffee, and admiring works of architecture, sculpture, and painting. I think good discussions make me most happy.
