About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying not to be a slacker.

ABOUT ME

My level of happiness and outgoingness varies according to where I am. Mildly happy in Brasilia, very happy in Rio and extremely happy in New York (or when travelling in general). I am easily bored, but pretty entertained when talking to new, different and interesting people.

I hate being inconvenient to people, hence I must know I am not being annoying to them so I can be comfortable. I talk a lot. About random stuff. To me, one subject is just a bridge to the next. Strangely, I love quiet, enjoyable silences as well. Also, I can be really honest, and maybe tactless too - for this, sorry in advance.

I like to party. A lot. I love taking people and being taken to the pub, or to some street party. I also like clubs, depending on the kind of music they play. I like my alcohol, but I can be ecstatic without it too.

Not only because of my height, I tend to occupy little space, and I guess I am clean. Sometimes, I like to do other people's dishes, specially when I believe themselves doing this task would spend an awful lot of water. I like people company, but I don't mind doing things on my own. So, I guess I am a great guest.

PHILOSOPHY

Second to the right, and straight on till morning! Don't think your age is an obstacle in your pursuit of new adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I reeeeeally would love to host people because I love the philosophy behind it! I actually let three surfers sleep at my place once, but that was because my parents were travelling. Yeah, I live with my parents, which most Brazilians (or people from Rio) do, and it is lame and I can't host people. *sad face here*

I often go to CS meetings because I love meeting foreign people and hanging out and doing tourism in my own city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never hosted, but met a lot of surfers.
Currently looking for hosts in Europe for march, yey!

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies, specially british ones, but also mainstream movies. A short list would be: Moulin Rouge, Starter for Ten, Cherrybomb, My Fair Lady, The Boat That Rocked, Cracks, Leon the Professional, Xmen: First Class, The Social Network, Mean Girls, Kaboom, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Inglorious Basterds, 300, some Woody Allen, Trainspotting, Cashback, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
My favorites when I was a kid were: The Faculty, and The Quick and The Dead; not age appropriate at all.

For music, I always change my taste, sometimes I hate stuff I used to love, and the opposite. Mostly, I like movie soundtracks (original or not). Here, have some bands: The XX, Keane, The Lumineers, The Kills, Kate Nash, LCD Soundsystem, Michael Bublé.

I am trying to read more nowadays, but I must say I am a little behind here. Some favorites are: most of Jane Austen, The Great Gatsby, A Song of Ice and Fire series, Atonement.

Also, I am a whovian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hopefully, I will fill this properly in March. yey!

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh well, I guess I can teach about Brazilian culture, including portuguese.

I really like learning others languages, although I am awful with some phonemes. And I tried for a long time to play the piano and the guitar, but I can't at all - it's horrible!

I can share my enthusiasm! And I hope you share your points of view about the world.
