ABOUT ME

I am a smart, fun loving girl. I tend to see the irony in life, and is quick to make a joke to lighten a stressful situation. I am laid-back and don't loose my cool. I love meeting new people, and watching them interact with others around them.

PHILOSOPHY

Human beings are the most interesting variable. What matters is not the things people do, but the reasons why they do them.

- Don't say no unless you have a reason not to say yes.

There are two types of people in this world. The first type has everything figured out. They go to the right school, have the right friends, fall in love, get married and everything just works out for them.

The other type walks into doors, trips over her own feet, and may not know where point B is, but will damned well stumble her way there. While the path they take is less tradiitional, the journey there is infinitely more rewarding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to couchsurfing. I am planning my first ever trip outside Canada this June/July and am interested in Couchsurfing as much as possible. It strikes me as a fantastic way to meet new people, and really experience the world from the eyes of people who really know what life is about. As opposed to being a tourist with a camera going from monument to museum, and not really enjoying what each unique city has to offer.

I am also interested in hosting surfers throughout the summer. While I am away my roommate will be hosting people, and when I return I am interested in meeting as many people as possible.

Interests

I am interested in life, love, and people. I like getting to know others and discovering new ways of thinking about old ideas. I love having new experiences, and ending each day knowing I did something I didn't think I would when I woke up in the morning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Anything with a good beat and smooth lyrics.

Books - Intense mystery's are my favourite. Psychological thrillers, or anything that gets in the minds of the villians.

Movies - All I need is a good plot, some witty commentary, and at least one unpredictable plot twist. Failing that, anything with a cute boy and a romantic love story can also work in a pinch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have seen is an incredible person (my sister) who has managed to deal with everything life has thrown at her, and always comes out shining. She is the strongest person I know, and never lets the fact that sometimes life just sucks stop her from living life to the fullest, and appreciating each day for what it is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I would be able to teach my stressfree attitudes and my carefree sense of humour. I would like to learn as much as possible about anyone I meet, including the whys and whats that make them the unique individuals they are. I would like to share my experiences traveling with people who may appreciate my looking through their world with fresh eyes, and would like to share my city with couchsurfers who want to see my world through my eyes.
