Overview
About Me
I want to know more about music, theatre, philosophy, architecture, astronomy, psychology, urbanism, art, history and everything else. I want to play all the musical instruments and speak all the languages. But I'm lazy to do all these things most of the time. Fortunately not all of it.
ABOUT ME
Hi there, I'm a Czech student from Prague, starting a Master degree in Germany in autumn 2014. For a few years I've been trying to change the fact that I had never really travelled very much. So Couchsurfing was a must for me, of course.
Naturally I enjoy getting to know new people, cultures, languages, places, everything, BUT I do not drink coffee.
Except travelling I like music & theatre (we have a brilliant student theatre at the university, where we perform our own plays - comedies based on alternate history, the most successful one is called Looking for Stalin) and I try to compose some music from time to time, although I don't really have the discipline to do anything productive by myself.
I try to travel as much as possible (not only) during the summer and also have some experience with volunteering. In 2012 I spent one semester in Bremen (Germany) on Erasmus and will be doing an MA degree in Tübingen starting October 2014.
PHILOSOPHY
Well, I don't have one. Thus you could say my personal philosophy is "you don't need a personal philosophy". But being inspired by http://existentialcomics.com/ I'm planning to learn a bit more about philosophy now.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, I can't offer a couch right now, but I might be able to help you with finding some in Prague or Tübingen.

I have already surfed a couple of times, the most exciting experience was in Iran with its incredibly friendly and hospitable people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am interested in modern art (surrealism, expressionism etc.) and enjoy visiting galleries a lot.
I like smart films with a good story. My favorites are In Bruges, He Died with a Felafel in His Hand (a great Australian film), Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, The Shawshank Redemption, anything by David Fincher or David Lynch.
Music: Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire, The National, IAMX, UNKLE, Julian Lage, Ozzy Osbourne and also various Czech alternative musicians.
Books: George Orwell, Umberto Eco, Stephen King, Franz Kafka, anything with a good story and atmosphere, really.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling through Iran in summer 2014 was amazing and I definitely want to go back there some day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn to play the piano properly. I am always keen to meet people who make art or want to create something. I can offer to teach you some cool pantomime moves, as I had been doing pantomime for about 10 years. I've also recently started playing ukulele and I like to sing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have some interesting stories from the countries I've visited (especially Iran recently) and I will be more than glad to share an interesting conversation about anything really.
