About Me

I'm a Ukrainian living in Tartu (Estonia) since 2019. I came here for a master's degree and continue to live and work here after graduation. I'm passionate about software development, it's so inspiring to create something that people use out of nothing.

I travel very rarely, in most cases solo. Usually, I need to have a reason to travel somewhere - a person who I'm going to visit or an event where I'm going to participate. I am not much excited about visiting cities but excited about visiting beautiful places of nature.

I like playing guitar and any physical activity. Usually, physical activity means gym for me, but there are some months in the year when I actively run, swim, cycle or practice slacklining instead.

You can visit my Instagram profile: https://www.instagram.com/_vlad.bondarenko.

I spend most of my time at home, I prefer to work here instead of going to the office. So I'd appreciate it if you don't bother me during working hours. At other times I'll be glad to show you Tartu, share meals/beers with you, have a workout, call friends to play board games/have a party.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had the Couchsurfing account already for a long time but haven't used it.
Usually, I travel where I already have some friends who can host me.
Also, I have lived with my brother for a long time, and he hosts guests from Couchsurfing periodically. So even when in most cases I was hanging out with guests, I didn't feel the need to use my own account.

I know how cool it is when you have a companion in a new place to stay and hang out with and who can help you with something if needed. Now I feel it's a time to have more options in travels for myself, and so to be ready to be such a companion and host guests too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled 270km in one day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk a lot about programming. If you speak Ukrainian/Russian, I'll be happy to sing songs with a guitar with you, I play guitar for already long time. Also, I have a synthesizer at home, you can use it (I'm a noob in it).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I rent a room in a house. The landlord comes once in a few months, the rest of the time there are only two of us - me, and my friend.
I can show the city, show where to eat, drink, give tips about Estonia and so on. I can share whatever is needed from practical things like kitchen, laundry, wifi, etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
