My name is Vlada. I was born and raised in Russia and now living in Brussels, the capital of the tiny kingdom of Belgium where I have spent the past 4 years. Here in the country of the greatest beers and waffles I am currently experiencing the student life to the fullest and interact with the people from all over the globe. I absolutely love nature and animals. I enjoy spending my evenings in a good company of friends with a nice glass of wine or Belgian beer. I am very open-minded and easy-going (as people say). I can't imagine my life without music and arts. I also love dancing and walking through new places discovering hidden gems of the cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I absolutely adore meeting new people from every corner of the world! For me, that's an amazing experience to feel local and explore the cities from the inside. Being in Brussels for some time, the 2nd most international city in the world, made me open my mind and realise so many new things that I am willing to spread with the other people and enjoy every moment of this beautiful thing called life. 😊

Interests

I am an absolute music addict. I can't imagine a day without listening to some electronic music sets or watching a live concert of my favourite bands from the past. Family for me is my biggest treasure I actually realised how much I love them after moving abroad. I used to hate the sea and feeling of the salt and sun burning on my skin, but there is something that I love about the oceans, the breeze, waves and salty air. LOVE IT!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very much into electronic music, techno and house in particular. But also, I really appreciate classical music masterpieces and good old-fashioned rock songs that remind me of my childhood and long road trips with my family.
Movies are also my sort of passion. One of my favourite directors is Darren Aronofsky.

I can teach you Russian or English that I can speak perfectly well! I am also looking forward to practising my French skills and Dutch, as well as picking up some new German words.

I can tell some entertaining stories of my life and share my experience of living abroad since the age of 18. Would also love to cook something and just to have a great time exploring local spots.
