About Me

Hi people...I come from a picturesque Caucasus region (south of Russia, close to Georgia). We have epic nature, mountains, waterfalls, and Ossetian pies (and Georgian food, yum)....The people in the Caucasus are simply the best, very warm, hospitable and generous.

After I left Vladikavkaz, I had the blessing to live in some great global cities, like London for 5 years (East End), Istanbul (Beyoglu) for 2 years, Utrecht, Holland for 1 year and travelled extensively including some months volunteering in Greece (recently), most of Europe, some of Asia (India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore), and of course, Russia. I work as a marketing manager for tech startups.

I have itchy feet most of the time and up for adventures with friends almost anywhere in the world.
Some of the things I'd like to do- go to Barcelona, to Lisbon, to Budapest, travel in Russia, and Armenia, visit lake Baykal, do the TransSiberian, visit Iran, Lebanon, and Japan.

I am into slow travelling, staying in one place to explore how the local live and do as the locals do.
I like food, museums, walks, art and street art, history tours, and travelling by train if possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here for the same reason as many of you- once you have lived abroad/ travelled, the wanderlust gets into your system and all I want to do is explore, connect, have great experiences, learn from other cultures, meet new friends and see places!

They say that a world is like a book, if you don't travel, you're only reading one page... I agree!

I am an open and warm person, and I like people who are kind, funny, intelligent and compassionate.
