🌍 About Us
Hello dear Couchsurfing friends,
we are a family from Poprad, Slovakia – a beautiful town right under the High Tatras mountains. Both of us are lawyers, and we have two great sons, aged 11 and 13.
Our boys are passionate about football – they don’t just watch it, they also play it. They are huge fans of the English Premier League. To get closer to their dream, we became official members of Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham gives us the best chance of securing official tickets, but the boys also admire Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.
We communicate easily in English, which is no problem at all. In addition, we also speak Spanish (we lived in Tenerife) and our kids can also speak German (we lived in Vienna).
⚽ Our Football Journey
Our next trip is from 29 November to 2 December 2025 – we already have tickets for Tottenham Hotspur vs. Fulham.
For 2026, we plan visits in January, March and May (depending on tickets). If we don’t get them, we’ll postpone, because for us the most important thing is to experience the Premier League atmosphere in London.
🏠 Why We’re on Couchsurfing
We are looking for a friendly family in London willing to host us for 2–3 nights during these short visits. For our boys, the dream is not only to see a match, but also to meet local kids, practice English, maybe play football together and make friends.
In return, we are very happy to host you in our home in Poprad. Our house is the perfect base for exploring the High Tatras – great for hiking, skiing, or nature trips. Poprad also offers water parks and cultural sites. And it’s easy to get here – there are direct flights from London to Poprad twice a week, usually very affordable.
🤝 What We Offer
A real family-to-family exchange: your children can play football and spend time with our boys.
A chance to visit Slovakia and stay with us near the beautiful Tatras.
Friendship, cultural exchange, and good vibes – in English, Spanish or German.
We truly believe Couchsurfing is about more than just a place to sleep – it’s about sharing, learning and building connections.
👉 Of course, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a family with children. We would also be very happy to stay with individuals or couples who are open to hosting a family like ours. The “ideal” would be a family with kids (because we have boys too), but it’s definitely not a requirement. And naturally, the exchange works both ways – everything we offer in return applies just the same to individuals or couples.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Standard private room – guests will have their own private room with basic amenities. The kitchen and living room are shared with us The atmosphere is friendly, perfect for chatting, cooking together or relaxing after a day out.
