Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first hosted couch-surfers few years ago it was new awesome experience. New people with different views and experiences sharing their knowledge. It was like they broke my boundaries and helped to see new horizons and I tried to do my best to give something similar in a response to their kindness.

I was opened at that time and then a critical life moment occured. To make a long story short it was because of unrequited love. You know how it happens when you stop doing things you loved to do and start doing foolish things instead.

I'm on CS because I want to return back on track and to change the direction. I'm going to make a hitchhiking trip through Russia - a journey I was thinking about for 3.5 years. Once I've done bicycle trip through Middle East few years ago and due to CS met a lot of great people who influenced me and helped to look at human relationships at another angle. Now with a help of CS I hope to meet people, loving Russia, to learn from them, to give away everything I can, to make friends with them and if I can help then to do so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I became mature I started counting time spent with beloved people as the most amazing experience in my life. Thus some amazing things I've done in life are not that amazing now as it was someday.

As a student of my father who is a professional piano tuner for over 40 years I've learned how to tune and repair pianos. Sometimes I help father to do his job and these are amazing moments when we do work together and then play piano. I'm really proud of this.

One more thing about pianos. In 2015 for 7 months I was working at the workshop where I repaired 4 pianos. Father helped me sometimes and most of the time I was working together with masters who taught me during the process. Of course it was just a step in that direction and I am still just a student here but I did it.

There was a time when I was proud of doing an attempt to climb Elbrus mountain alone (couldn't finish it) and also of doing solo bicycle trip through Jordan, Israel, Ukraine for 3 months, met amazing people and found a lot about myself, people and the world. Now it feels like it was ordinary thing and just a dream I saw while sleeping.
