ABOUT ME:

I'm Evelien, 26 years old and bad at describing myself. But I'll give it a try. I finished my study Medicine and at the moment I'm working in a Hospital doing research as a PhD student.

As always, I'™m enjoying life. Being honest, I'm not a real world traveller, I'm addicted to The Netherlands and Amsterdam! But I really like visiting cities and vacation and meet people there and here.

I love the 4 F-words: Fun, Family, Friends & Food (to bad vacations is spelled with an V..)

PHILOSOPHY:

Never give up on things that make you smile!
Thoughts aren't facts so don't take them seriously.
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Treat yourself as you would treat a good friend.
There are some things that will allways be imperfect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
When I was in Brussels for an Internship I was all by myself. So I signed in on Couchsurfing and met some really cool local people for drinks!

I only listen to good music, that makes me happy! It depends on my mood and the situation, I kind of like all the genres =)

@ Running: Whipping music of all sorts: from dupstep to old school Aqua - I'm a barbie girl!

@ Parties: 80's/ 90's, electronic/ techno, top40

@ Car: music whereby I can sing really loudly without disturbing anyone (except sometimes my boyfriend as I don't care to sing when he sits next to me)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finished the 'Dam tot Damloop', a running race of 16.1km from 'my house/ city' to 'my parents house/ city' *so proud because I hate just running*

Teach, Learn, Share

I will learn you how to make Dutch Pancakes (reaaaaally nice!) and if you like I'll bring some dutch food like 'drop' and 'stroopwafels'.
