ABOUT ME

My name is Vicki, and I've been traveling around since I graduated from the University of Minnesota in June, 2008. I eventually want to go to grad school and get my degree in archaeology, and spend my time out in the field. Until then, I want to see everything. In the past few years I've studied in New Zealand, bartended in Scotland, and lumberjacked in Nevada, picked fruit in Australia, with all sorts of backpacking adventures in between. I currently spend over half the year driving groups of backpackers around the US and Canada on camping trips. Best job ever. I've met so many great people while traveling, who push me to keep trying new things and seeing new places. I love a good adventure, and even the occasional misadventure. They tend to make the best stories anyhow.

Books: Anything by Fiest, Tolkien, Douglas, Vonnegut, Gaiman, Hemmingway, Orwell, or Pratchett, but I'll read pretty much anything that gets put in front of me.

Music: I like it all, especially if it's live.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I spent 6 months living in a tent in the middle of nowhere, NV, on a chainsaw crew for the Nevada Conservation Corps. We traveled around the state and got to see so many beautiful, remote places. In the process I learned to really, really appreciate showers.
