I´m Valentina 26 years Colombian biologist, who enjoy travel and explore the world, not forgetting to mention spiders and spending time in nature. I still in my way to get to know myselft... but I can choose the word flexible (of course there is tons of other words I would love to choose too haha) to describe myself because I'm always jumping out of my comfy zone, I think this is the best way to explore my boundaries, meet new people and get immersed in new cultures/worlds. I value honesty and openness to establishing experiences and relationships, thats why I feel the CS community is an amazing way to generate new bounds and allow my mind to explore unknown worlds/cultures and also share mine.

💜As a woman of the LGBTQ+ community I give preference to female and LGBT+ travelers because I know how difficult or uncomfortable it can be for us to feel safe in an unknown place. This is a safe space, this is a loving household💜

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Here is a little bit of my history! At the age of 18, I start my studies in biology and don't take me so long to fell in love whit the animals I specialized, the jumping spiders. I start researching this spiders in different aspects like their behavior, evolution, and morphology. This love for spiders doesn't only construct me as a young scientist, it also leads me to meet amazing places and had several cultural exchanges. Furthermore, it teaches me the crucial role that scientists have in science communication to the public. Right now I'm going to assist to an evolutionary meeting that takes place in Finland to share my research on spiders, so I decide to take this opportunity to stay longer in Europe and get into the European nature and cultures.
