ABOUT ME

I'm Anja, was raised in the Rhineland of Germany. I have always been an outgoing, smiling, adventurous, spontaneous, life loving person, who loves to travel the world and get to know new cultures and people. Therefore I started traveling by myself with an age of 13. Few years later I decided to study a year abroad as an foreign exchange student. I lived together with a host family in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN, and attended the 11th grade of high school. Since than I have been back to Minnesota a couple of times. These few years I started to travel Europe quite a bit. As of for myself I love to laugh and just enjoy every minute :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My ex-roomie got me into CouchSurfing. Since than I've made the most amazing experiences hosting and surfing.

Interests

I love to do sports, especially playing beach volleyball in summers, if there is no beach to play at and the weather is being a little freezing, i like to go running, do yoga, or just try new sports. Water is my second element, therefore I love anything that has to do with water, whether it is swimming, sailing, wake boarding, boating, etc.On weekends I love to go dancing and enjoy good times with my closest friends, though always excited to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book in this world is "into the wild" written by Jon Krakauer. It tells a true story of a genius named Christopher McCandless, who did a road trip through the United Stated. An incredible story with a sad end. This book made me wanne travel the entire world even more! For music I love love love Kings of Leon, else I like anything with a good tune, there is always music playing in my room whether it's arcustic music, rock, reggae, pop, dubstep or whatever is just in the charts. My movie knowledge isn't the greatest since i mostly have been busy not watching movies, but i am open to watch a good movie if you have one in mind :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving, just jumping out of a plane, was indeed one of the most breathtaking moments of my life so far!
Even topped the event, that I have seen the Northern Lights already twice in my live, which were one of the most amazing things I got to see.
Both times I have been on a trip by myself. The first time in Norway and the second time on lake Superior in WI, USA.
