Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been CouchSurfing for about two years now. It has been a great experience for me so far. I surfed in Bolivia and Morocco. These were great times and unique experiences which otherwise never would have been possible. I have hosted several people so far in Gent: from Bolivia, Germany, Costa Rica, France, Chile...
I like Couchsurfing as it is the perfect matchmaker for people with the same intentions! It is also the perfect way to make traveling more immersing.

Anyone passing by in Brussels is always welcome to send me a message and I'll see what I can do!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While staying in Cochabamba and La Paz, Bolivia, I've had my first CS experience and to be honest I loved it. Great people, great atmosphere, great experience!

Interests

I am fascinated by international politics. Of course, this is a tough nut to crack and not a conversation starter. So I will just as eagerly discuss music, books, film, sports, and joking around in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to rock music e.g.: Yo La Tengo, Pavement, dEUS, etc. But I'm open to most kinds of music.
My favourite author is Steinbeck.
I am also interested in photography and click the occasional button myself. I would love to learn more about this, so anyone interested in sharing experiences or tips, feel free to do so!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The day I arrived in Bolivia was brilliant. I had just travelled 30 hours straight and was about to hit my bed hard. Then two Bolivian Couchsurfers showed up and took me along to a party which was an absolute blast! That was my first CS experience. Unforgettable!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk about history.Cooking and foods is also a great conversation starter. I love to learn more about different styles of cooking and discussing recipes. I could show you a Belgian dish or two.
