We grew up in a small city in Western Ukraine - Ternopil. For the last few years, we have been working in Dubai, UAE. Now we are back home (though, it's a bit tricky to say "home" without having a proper one for the last 10 years).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We sincerely believe that the best way to understand a culture is an informal conversation or collaboration. Though we are great proponents of decorum and decent behavior, we admit that formal communication which you have while staying in a hotel and attending mainstream excursions will not acquaint you with an everyday life of real people, their values, habits, way of life.
When we surf, this is the way to complement our experience of immersion into a journey. When we host, we are trying to give the same kind of experience to the others.
Previously we had a great experience while both hosting and surfing, however at the moment we are living in the employer's dormitory and are unable to host.

We both used to work in the tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa, Dubai, UAE.
Another thing which is "crazy, but amazing" - I had lost my passport in New York airport few hours before departure.
