ABOUT ME

I'm an explorer at heart, and don't do well with favorites as there is far too much of interest in this world for one short life!
I occupy much of my free time based on the season; Winter: ice climbing, mountaineering, nordic skiing, snowboarding, etc.; Summer: swimming, running, cycling, rock climbing, surfing, sailing, hiking, etc..
For the last few years I have found an Ironman triathlon and start training a few months before. I enjoy the triathlon community as the lifestyle generally attracts conscientious healthy thinking individuals. I think exposure to the outdoors helps balance people's bodies and minds, and leads to more sustainable living and thinking.
I enjoy interacting and learning from people of different backgrounds and cultures; I've been doing it from a young age living abroad, and feel more so at home while traveling throughout the world experiencing new cultures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been able to meet very interesting people during my travels, and since discovering CS, I've enjoyed the easier means to achieving this. I've hosted a number of people while i lived in Seattle & in Utah, and enjoy the community feel to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was down in Costa Rica and had the most amazing experience with a family living out near Guanacaste - what a beautiful, peaceful life out in the middle of the jungle with a spectacular feeling of community. I hope that sense of community can return to our high-paced existence: it would solve many of the issues we face today.
