Overview
About Me
Hello couch surfers ! My name is Vorlette, a French sociable enthusiast that likes to travel the world, learn new things and discover new places. I am currently doing a gap year in my studies in social science and environnement, travelling in Mexico (that is why I am not hosting yet). I like sharing my love for nature and culture with locals from all over the world as I believe it is the best way to truly discover another culture. Interested in most things, I am very curious to hear from people’s passion and knowledge.
I am always looking for a person to go on adventures with, but I am also very independant and totally enjoy being on my own if the host is busy.
It is said on my profile that I never did couch surfing but I actually did during a cycling trip with my sisters in Wales last year, it is not indicated on my profile because we used my sister’s account :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing because I believe there is no better way to travel than meeting the locals and understanding their culture from their point of view through discussions and shared moments. I highly value local’s knowledge and like to share mine showing around couch surfers places I cherish. I like how couch surfing makes travelling cheaper, allowing a greater number of people to travel, which I hope leads to a more open minded world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very important to me. I listen to truly all kinds of music and love to see live gigs wherever I go as it really embodies the local culture I believe. I do music (singing and a little bit of piano) and love to share musics with others and discover new artists and genres from people ! In terms of films, I don’t have a favorite movie in particular although I like independant cinema and French comedies. I read a lot of politics and philosophy for my studies, but during my travel I am reading some novels taking place in Lebanon where my dad comes from.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am currently travelling for 3 months pretty much on my own in Mexico and the USA ! So that is an adventure I suppose, otherwise I studied for 3 years in Manchester in the Uk and moving there while being so young was pretty epic! I also did a one month trip in Cambodia with a group of friends, we volunteered in a farm and traveled around it was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach people how to cook as I really enjoy cooking for people and am a rather good cook I would say ! I believe it is a nice way to thank people for their welcoming :) I can teach climbing, English, French, Spanish and a little bit of slacklining. But generally I love to share skills and knowledge with people and am interested in pretty much anything that is new. I am also keen to help if I can be useful in any way :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
With my host I would like to share simple moments like dinners, drinks, discussions. Exploring the city and the surrounding nature, getting to know the host’s secret spots is a plus if he/she is available obviously :)
