I have 'surfed' a couple of times and met couch-surfers to share experiences.

Intereses

Politics fascinates me, and I think of myself as an activist in the causes of environmental justice and solidarity with the 'Third World'. My work (research on ways in which science affects our lives, and particularly those of the poorest of the world) spills over into my leisure time in all sorts of ways. And then there's music: my first love!

Algo increíble que he hecho

I shall never forget a holiday in Cauca (Southern Colombia). I spent a week in the colonial city of Popayan, which was hosting a festival of (classical) music and the arts, along with numerous religious processions and spectacular open-air ceremonies. Then I took a bus across the high Andes to the region of Tierra Dentro, and just walked through the mountains.
