Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Traveler by heart, love to pack my bags and leave on unplanned itinerary and make plans on the move....Culture,architecture, nature and people excite me when I travel
I am a novice photographer and would wish to cover as much geography as I can
ABOUT ME
I work for investment banks (In my Free time of course but as a full time profession, I travel)
Bitten by travel bug, passionate about bag-packing, trekking, hiking and adventure sports.
Love exploring new and lesser known places. Practice and preach "Green" traveling.
I take interest in understanding native culture, art, architecture, nature and wildlife.
I like meeting people, sharing my travel stories and listening to their stories and experiences. There is always a new place which pops up when travelers talk or some stall which serves the best local cuisine or a pub / club which is somehow the best in town not found in travel blogs / sites.
PHILOSOPHY
The power of Mind is inexplicable - what you think you become.
I love meeting people ad knowing their story - every story is different and has a message to learn from
Irrespective of geographical and cultural differences - "Smile", "Music" nd food bridge the gap between individuals very easily...(did I mention beer :D )
Dolce Vita...(Life is sweet) I adhere to and believe in completely.;

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Growing up in India and being a traveler makes you really aware that India is one of the best places and indeed one of its kind in the world. Whatever you want - you have the best of it in India - Be it snow capped mountains, desert with sand dunes and waterless expanses, tropical rainforest, wildlife, wilderness, backwaters, beaches, lakes, valleys, mangroves - you name it and you get it here.
Trekking across Himalayan Passes(Glaciers) to cross one valley and step into another - the view @ ~ 15000 feets is simply breathtaking. Houseboat experience in Kerala is exciting and sailing through the backwaters is something one must do
Visiting lesser known and thinly populated areas of Meghalaya, India some of the locations are not even on GPS - visiting Asia's cleanest village in Meghalaya was very interesting - people since time immemorial were aware of living in close conjunction with nature and sustain progressively. Living root bridge is a marvel indeed
Cycled across some of the picturesque Islands across asia - specially if it rains. Malaysia with its pristine beaches, rainforest and of course stunning water, corals and marine life is definitely a thumbs up anyday
Japan in Asia is my favourite destination any day. Simply one of its kind place in the world.
Hiking the volcanoes in Indonesia and Philippines was also thrilling.
Australia itself offers wonderful travel opportunities and nature in Australia is indeed a pleasure to relish
Halong Bay and cycling across Da Nang pass was highlight in Vietnam and Hong Kong is such a hidden jewel - there is more to HK than the vertical landscape which it renders to a new person - the hikes and the cruises in HK is a good way to spend your weekend if you are not traveling.
Ancient villages and markets in China and Taiwan never fail to impress as well.
Some of the pictures, when we look back at the results, are so satisfactory as they render a completely different perspective than the actual location - this is one aspect of photography which I truly appreciate.
Doing the "Game of thrones" route in Ireland was special while Loch regions in Scotland is where I would like to retire - May be.
Recently came back from Iceland and can surely say, it is one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world
Teach, Learn, Share
Traveling for me is a method to re invent myself.
I personally learn a lot when I observe, experience, interact with people and tend to absorb from my surroundings.
Having a photographer's eye helps me find a new perspective to my visual experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live with my wife in Hong Kong and we both love travel, coffee and travelers alike
If we host you, we can definitely spend some time with the guests helping them with not just the couch but also in their planning and recommending to do things in HK.
