About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To finish an important chapter of my PhD thesis. Or at least to begin working on it

ABOUT ME

Oh, such a simple question, isn't it?

I'm a calm man about his thirties. Very curious about some silly things - how to change a ball joint of a car by my own (if you don't know what a ball joint is, never mind), or some important things - how to urge myself to write an important part of my PhD thesis or even more important - to learn how to sleep fast (three hours per night instead of eight :)
I love traveling. And it's not about traveling per se (sometimes really exhausting undertaking), it's about getting impressed by new people and places.

PHILOSOPHY

senza troppe illusioni
senza patemi
esagerate passioni
con un po' di follia
con allegria

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By now very egoistically, I should admit. I don't have the possibility to host anybody, but it will be pleasure to share a cup of coffee or just to chat with some of aforementioned people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much.
At first I heard some friends of mine talking about CS. Then some other friends of mine showed me real CS hosts. They appeared to be normal and even very interesting and amusing people:) And hospitable, it goes without saying. So one day I found myself convinced to create my own CS profile. And then I began couchsurfing.

Interests

It seems to have a foreign languages mania. I find particularly interesting different dialects - like napulitano in Italian or occitan in French. As I have a Slavic language for my mother tongue I am able to understand Russian, Serbian, even some Czech and Polish.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a child I loved books with nice pictures. If happened to like not only the pictures, but the text as well, I would learn it by heart. I can still remember the beginning of my favorite child's tale:

Станала рано зарана
нашата Меца-мецана.
Съчки в гората събрала,
огън висок си наклала,
та да направи чорбица
Меца на своите дечица.

So, the music. For the ease of all I would apply a method, normally used for perfume description. Top notes: Rock (from Beatles to Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Whitesnake to Yngwie, Tony MacAlpine and Joe Satriani). Middle notes: Jazz. Base notes - so called "world music".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A day without rain in Nantes... Even a whole week! :DD

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very fond of cooking... and eating as well ;) I could gladly learn everybody interested how to prepare some fresh Bulgarian dishes.

As a matter of fact, learning new things (from grammar rules to proper green tea preparing) is a bit of a obsession for me. So everything interesting (useful or just funny) is welcome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece

Countries I’ve Lived In
