About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To check out all the states I might end up in for school!

ABOUT ME

I live in El Sobrante/Richmond in the East Bay Area, where I work part time as a nanny and go to school part time. I have decided to complete the pre-reqs needed for speech pathology at Oklahoma State University and will be moving there in August to start my next adventure!

I was originally born in Illinois, but I mostly grew up in the Bay Area, with a brief stint in Los Angeles for college. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do after college (considered law, nursing, teaching, occupational therapy), but I eventually discovered speech pathology and am excited to be taking the steps towards making that dream a reality. It's a good thing I like school, because I feel like it's never going to end!

I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel to different countries and states and meet so many amazing people. I love food and beer and try to have as much local stuff as possible whenever I visit someplace new!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed a few times now, and they were great experiences! I am so glad that I discovered this community!

I have lived in the Bay Area most of my life, so if anyone needs a tour guide or a companion for dinner/drinks, let me know!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have surfed on three couches, but I haven't hosted yet.

Interests

Right now, most of my time is taken up by studying and working, but when I have free time I like going to concerts, watching movies, hanging out at the bar, cooking/baking, planning parties, hiking, playing piano and singing (not very well haha). I feel like lately I've been doing a lot of planning, figuring out where to travel to next, and planning activities for my cousin's upcoming wedding.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to country, folk, bluegrass, classic rock, oldies, musicals, jazz, classical, some indie pop and some top 40 stuff.

I watch pretty much all genres of movies, except for horror! I love comedies. The funniest comedy I've seen lately is Bridesmaids. Hilarious!

I like the classics. I majored in classical civilization, so I enjoy reading The Odyssey, The Iliad, etc. I'll admit, I got into the Twilight series, but I think I've grown out of it since then :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing all the ruins in Greece and imagining what life must have been like during the peak of Greek civilization.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Greece, Mali, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
