About Me

CURRENT MISSION

in Australia.

ABOUT ME

I'm a curious cat. I'm eager to try new things, even those that may not be to my liking. I enjoy the outdoors (camping, hiking, cycling, jogging, mushroom picking) as much as I enjoy being indoors (reading/writing, playing video/board games, watching/discussing movies). I also like to go out for drinks once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve been on Couchsurfing for almost 20 years. When I travel somewhere new, I look for an available couch—not just a place to sleep, but a way to connect with the place through the people who live there.

I read hosts’ profiles with care, paying attention to what resonates or sparks my curiosity. Once I arrive, I adapt to the rhythm of the home, its habits, and boundaries. I’m comfortable moving through my days independently, exploring on my own. When time allows, we share meals, conversations, or an activity. When it doesn’t, I remain respectful of their space, grateful for the hospitality, and attentive to the connection in whatever form it takes.

Interests

These days, I try to go hiking every other weekend. Along the way, I’ve made a habit of identifying plants and mushrooms, especially edible ones. I’ve also picked up a book on animal tracking, so I pay attention to prints and traces, trying to read what passed through before me.

I’ve recently taken up bullet journaling, testing it as a way to bring more structure to my daily life.

At the same time, I’ve been writing more and more. I do morning pages almost daily.

I also keep a Medium account where I publish regularly, using it as both a practice ground and a place to share my work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scaring off a bear by singing Pavarotti while sh*tting my pants, figuratively speaking!
