About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working a full time job at the moment. Occasionally hosting couchsurfers when I am in town.
ABOUT ME
In the recent past I have been backpacking around Asia and Europe for 12 months in 2012 and now back at work. I miss couchsurfing, I met a heap of awesome people who I still keep in touch with. I've lived in various places on this planet and share a curiosity about human endeavours across a wide range of topics. I can talk about most topics, but really delve into all things esoteric and 'out there'.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is that we are all here to learn something & to serve others in some way in some capacity no matter how big or small. Most of society is brainwashed into believing certain things hence most act in a certain way, I try to act in my own way and make sense of the world on my own terms rather than the crap forced into my mind and stomach from vested interests. If each and every human on this planet realised our common potential to help one an other instead of following the money trail the world would be a different and much better place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A Host primarily. After hosting so many wonderful people on wonderful journies I had to start my own. I want to communicate with other people as much as I can, from as many cultures as I can to continue the journey I'm on to try to understand better this interconnected world we all exist in. Also to offer my support to those who want to make the leap and quit this lecherous system we all try to exist under. Don't ask me for solid career advice, the answer might offend...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A host with the most! I started hosting surfers in Brisbane in 2008. Most of my overseas travel has been sponsored by my employers. I prefer surfers from other cultures, and as far removed from western society as possible. I used to Surf & I left couch requests until the last minute unfortunately because with me I try to plan ahead as little as possible. Randomness and coincidence are my 2 best friends and have treated me well so far. Spontaneity is a close third as this requires more than just myself to accomplish. I have not really surfed many couches as yet and look forward to sharing experiences with future hosts. I am always up for hosting when I am home and not travelling myself.
Interests
Travel! Sound, Music, visual media, dream machine, UFOlogy, psychedelic tutors (Terrance McKenna, Rick Strassman, Timothy Leary, Ralph Abraham, Joe Rogan) computers & Internet with a wee bit of gaming, reading books about everything, eating out at restaurants from street food to fine dining, travelling to other cultures. Language as well, but I do not have the time yet to learn one.

Music, Movies, and Books
yes, yes and yes. I have many movies, usually arthouse or documentaries, books range from philosophy to Horror. In terms of music, I like everything from outright NOISE through to classical and everything in between. Tastes are subjective and really cannot stand people who try to force their own favourite bands down other peoples throats uninvited. To offer an opinion is fine but to denigrate someone elses taste in music because it doesn't match your own will be met with abuse from yours truly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
India traffic is amazing! Turkish call to prayer during Ramadan is amazing, actually, seeing an entire city erupt into prayer was a spin! I have traveled extensively through India on rail, and car and plane. Also I have been a roadie for a couple of bands, Been a Video DJ for one of Australia's biggest Country & Western performers. Also I have mixed a couple of music festivals in Brisbane. I have built high end display systems for different industries, they are pretty cool, except for the fact they teach humans how to be more ruthless sometimes. Life's all about compromise. Right now I'm working for a small exciting independent systems integration company here in Melbourne.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ask me anything. I've done a few interesting things throughout my life, the older I get the more interesting they become. I can share my couch, place, fridge, food, beer, wine, mi casa es su casa truly!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, beer, wine, comments on how lovely the decor is and how comfy the couch is.
