Currently I'm in a boring phase: being a new parent and working my arse off, also trying to sneak some sport in there with the ambition to do Ironman sometime soon.

Previous phases have included keen traveller, DJ and party boy, science nut, among others - so who knows what the future will bring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been hosting people in Sofia and Cologne for several years and now it's time to welcome some guests in London, ahem, Kingston - it's totally a separate city and not a suburb at all (or so the locals say). I also travel occasionally and for cities where I don't know anybody - CS is my first choice.

I used to be a more of a party guide and I can still provide ample advice in that respect although I'm not going out on all-nighters that often any more. On the other hand, I've got more enlightened on the galleries, museums and sports events front.

Teach, Learn, Share

Fond of all things geeky, love discussing science, philosophy, religion, politics - and have managed to do this for a while without getting into a fight! Whether this counts as teach or learn depends on the level of the counterparty - usually it goes both ways and, fine intellectual discussion often proves enlightening for all participants.

I'm also teaching software development professionally and am mentoring young entrepreneurs so the knowledge I have in these areas is up for grabs.
